A creative mind is something that helps us to explore numerous things around the world. Whether it’s creating something new or recreating something out of the waste. Well, that’s what happened when a 30-year-old student who came up with the idea of recycling feathers which can prove to be beneficial for everyone. Since there are loads of chicken feathers that are wasted every day, this student brought forward the concept of making the nutrient component found in the feathers into a powder that can be transformed into a lean, protein-rich source of edible food.
Actually a guy named Sorawut Agarwal was looking for new types of waste for recycling when he suddenly clicked upon this idea. As per Sorawut “Chicken feather contains protein and if we are able to serve this protein to others in the world, the demand from everyone… will help reduce waste,” As per the data approximately 2.3 million tons of feathers are being dumped in Europe alone each year. So think about Asia that has higher poultry consumption.
Although bringing the waste chicken feathers into use is a good idea but Sorawut, said the idea still needs to go through other research and development phases. He also said that feather based food cannot be categorized as vegan or vegetarian. Well it’s not that the feathers were not used before but this Idea that the student from London came up with is quite amazing.
