Regarding her future in the DC Universe as Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot provided an upbeat update. The Wonder Woman actress has played the famous role in two stand-alone films, various Justice League incarnations, and numerous guest roles.
In addition to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, Justice League, Wonder Woman 1984, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and The Flash, Gadot has a long list of other noteworthy roles in the DC Extended Universe.

The postponement of Wonder Woman 3 and the debut of James Gunn’s new DC Universe seemed to dash hopes for Gadot’s return, which was originally planned as a trilogy. However, the actress has recently inspired fresh hope for her future in the DC universe.
In conversation with Entertainment Tonight at Netflix’s Tudum event, the actor indicated, “Things are being worked behind the scenes, and once the right moment arrives, you’ll know about it.”
Following James Gunn’s declaration that Henry Cavill wasn’t going to renew his role as Superman in the new DC Universe, rumours of Gadot quitting the DC Universe started to surface around the end of 2022. The future of other DCEU actors, including Gadot, appeared to be in danger as a result of this choice, which included portraying a younger version of the protagonist. Additionally, Patty Jenkins’ resignation from Wonder Woman 3 and the consequent cancellation of the movie appeared to mark the end of Gadot’s time playing the Daughter of Themyscira.

Despite the uneven critical reception of Wonder Woman 1984, Gadot’s portrayal of Diana Prince in subsequent DC movies has rekindled interest in her standalone sequel.
One of the complaints about Gadot’s Wonder Woman films was that they didn’t properly explore the character’s mythology; however, the planned Max prequel series may extend that part of the DC Universe, paving the way for Gadot to possibly reprise her role as Wonder Woman.
