Currently, the star Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya is in his sad and bad space. Not only his personal but professional life is also struggling. And he is facing all this following his controversy that sparked on Koffee With Karan 6 episode. A few days ago, the cricketer embraced the chat show with teammate KL Rahul and made some disrespectful comments about women on the show. He flaunted about his multiple affairs with women and how he was opened about them with his parents.
However, these below the belt comments received a backlash from the social media and since then the cricketer is getting criticized. He later apologized for his action but till than the damage had done already. BCCI suspended him from the current Australian ODI series along with KL Rahul and sent them both to home. The cricketer also banned from playing India vs Australia ODI series.
After returning home, Pandya has stayed home and has stopped taking calls. According to a report in Mid-day, the cricketer did not celebrate Makar Sankranti yesterday. Hardik was sitting at his Baroda residence and was watching India beat Australia in the second ODI at the Adelaide Oval. It is all revealed by his father.
His father Himanshu Pandya told the leading tabloid,
“He watched the match. Ever since he has returned from Australia, he has not stepped out of the house. He is also not taking any calls… he is just taking rest.”
He further added,
“It’s a festival… a public holiday in Gujarat, but Hardik did not fly any kites. He loves flying kites but his busy cricketing schedule never allowed him to be at home during this festival over the last few years. This time, he had a chance to fly kites, but because of the adverse situation, there was no mood to celebrate the festival.”
He then concluded,
“He is very disappointed with the suspension and repents the views he expressed on the TV show. He is committed not to repeat the same mistake,” Pandya Sr remarked. “We have decided not to talk to him on this subject. Even his elder brother Krunal has not discussed anything about the episode with him. We are waiting for the BCCI’s decision.”
