IND vs SA: India loses two quick wickets in just 3 overs

India was forced to bat in the first innings and Rishabh Pant yet again lost the crucial toss in the 4th T20I.

Ishan and Ruturaj’s previous partnership of 97 runs was unable to replicate tonight as Lungi Ngidi, who was brought in as a replacement tonight, managed to give Proteas their first breakthrough as Ruturaj got out cheaply.

Ruturaj scored just 5 runs and India lost its wicket at the end of the second over. With India being 13 for 1, Shreyas walked in and had a clear mindset to take the early opportunity tonight but failed to do so as the second important replacement of skipper Bavuma, Marco Jansen managed to send Shreyas Iyer back to pavilion.

The ball magically strucked to the pads but the umpire thought it to be “not-out” to which Quinton easily convinced his skipper to take the DRS which ultimately made umpire Menon to change his original decision and Shreyas Iyer walked back for just 4 runs in 2 balls.

India at the end of 3 overs were 24-2.

India’s playing XI is the same like the previous 3 matches: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant(w/c), Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan

South Africa’s playing XI for the critical 4th T20I of the series: Temba Bavuma(c), Quinton de Kock(w), Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Heinrich Klaasen, Dwaine Pretorius, Keshav Maharaj, Marco Jansen, Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi, Anrich Nortje
