Kantara not just emerged as one the highest grossing Kannada film but became a blockbuster hit across all arena and languages of the year in India. The Rishab Shetty-starrer is set to stream on the OTT platform on Amazon Prime Video and surprisingly continues to collect profit from the box office. The movie is set to premiere on November 24.
The film released on September 30, and has minted more than Rs 400 crore overseas.
Rishab while speaking about the OTT release mentioned in a statement, “Audiences from all corners of the country have showered immense love on Kantara and I am extremely excited that with its global digital premiere on Prime Video we will be able to take our labor of love and hard work to a wider audience worldwide. It is a story that has universal appeal but the plot’s local flavor will keep viewers intrigued until the very end.”
The film is has been launched in multiple languages including Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The film is backed by Hombale Films.
