Last Friday saw the world premiere of the Bollywood film Adipurush, starring Kriti Sanon. Despite the negative reception to the Om Raut movie, Kriti chose to concentrate on the “cheers and claps.” The audience was heard humming the song “Ram Siya Ram” while applauding for the Prabhas-starring film in a couple of the videos she posted on Instagram.

Posting the videos, Kriti wrote, “Focusing on the cheers and claps! Jai Siya Ram.” A fan wrote, “Don’t believe anyone’s words, once go to the theater and see it, then you will feel that such a movie has not been made till date.” Another added, “Best movie Jai Shri Ram.”
In the post’s comments section, Manish Malhotra and Kriti’s sister Nupur Sanon both dropped heart emojis.

Nupur also gave a shoutout to the film on her Instagram Stories, “Love love loved Adipurush! The performances were superb. The songs. The grandeur. The serenity. The direction. There were so many sequences that blew me away. Kudos to the entire team.”
Currently, Adipurush is getting flak for its shoddy visual effects, cringe-worthy dialogue, and weak character development. The conversations have sparked unrest, which has led to demonstrations around the nation. In spite of the unfavourable reviews, the movie was a commercial triumph, earning Rs 340 crore in just three days of release, making it a hit at the box office.
