Joaquin Phoenix received the Oscar for Best Actor for the first time at the 92nd Academy Awards ceremony. However, he received this award for his strong performance in the film ‘Joker’. They nominated Phoenix in the Best Actor category with Adam Driver, Leonardo DiCaprio, Antonia Banderas, and also Jonathan Price.
After receiving his first Oscar, Joaquin Phoenix became emotional and recalled a song from his late brother River, saying – “love and peace will follow you.” Joaquin Phoenix also talked about injustice and honoring the natural world, letting love and passion become his guiding principles.
