    Parineeti Chopra: ‘We Should No longer Call Our Country Democratic’

    The issue of the Citizenship Amendment Act is a serious matter at this time in the entire country. In many parts of the country, at some places, these protests were peaceful, while on the other hand, it took a violent form at some places. People are opposing this act, Everyone from ordinary people on the road to celebrities is expressing their reaction to this act. From Javed Akhtar, Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu to Swara Bhaskar, many celebs have spoken openly on this issue. The name of Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra has also been added to this list.

    The actress has expressed her anger through a tweet and has written that we should stop calling our country a democratic country. Parineeti tweeted on her official Twitter handle, ‘Forget the #CAB (Citizenship Amendment Bill) if this what happens every time a citizen expresses their view happens we should pass a bill and no longer call our country a democratic country. Beating up innocent human beings for speaking their mind? BARBARIC.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) called these incidents tragic and disappointing and appealed for peace. The impact of police action against Jamia students and anger against citizenship law was seen from Uttar Pradesh to Kerala and Maharashtra to West Bengal. Now the stars of Bollywood are also putting their opinions on this issue.
