‘Priyanka And Nick’s Wedding is Fake’ Claims a Famous International Magazine, Suffers Backlash

Priyanka Chopra is officially Priyanka Chopra Jonas now. She got married to American singing sensation Nick Jonas on December 2 and 3 according to Hindu and Christian wedding traditions at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace. Well, the couple is in their happy phase right now.

However, yesterday, an international magazine, TheCut.com had published an article about Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. Mariah Smith, the author of the article, accused the actress of cashing on her ‘fraudulent relationship’ with Nick ‘against his will’, indicating that the Amercian singer just a wanted a ‘fling’, not a marriage. Her article was full of racist, sexist and misogyny undertones.

One of the portions of the article read,

“All Nick wanted was a possible fling with Hollywood’s latest It Woman, but instead he wound up staring straight at a life sentence with a global scam artist. Even more upsetting, she’s a scam artist who never even took the time to make sure he was comfortable riding a horse before arranging for him to enter their wedding ceremony on horseback.”

After this, the author, as well as the magazine, suffered a backlash from celebrities and common people. After which the international magazine had to eventually remove the article from their website and also apologized on the Twitter.

“An earlier story about Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas did not meet our standards. We’ve removed it and apologize.” Bollywood actresses like Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar and Priyanka’s new family member Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner condemned the article.

Recently, when Priyanka was asked about the same, she said,

“I don’t even want to react or comment. It’s not even in my stratosphere. I’m in a happy place at this moment. These kinds of random things can’t disturb it”.
