Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Tuesday met rapper Sidhu Moosewala’s parents at their home in Moosa town in Punjab’s Mansa district to offer condolences.
He was accompanied by a few leaders, including Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja and Leader of Opposition in Assembly, Partap Singh Bajwa, news agency PTI reported.
Security was tightened outside Moosewala’s home ahead of Rahul’s visit, as per ANI. The Congress leader joined a string of guests to Mansa following the killing of Moosewala. Last Saturday, Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah met Moosewala’s dad, while Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the family last Friday.

Sidhu Moosewala had joined the Congress ahead of Punjab polls and contested from the Mansa constituency. He was shot dead by attackers on May 29. Responding to his demise, Rahul had tweeted, “Deeply shocked and saddened by the murder of promising Congress leader and talented artist, Sidhu Moosewala. My heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and fans from across the world.”
