Donald Trump’s star-studded biopic, “The Apprentice,” has begun filming. Directed by Ali Abbasi the Oscar-nominated director, the film will show Trump’s early years as a New York real estate magnate. And his influential connection with disbarred lawyer Roy Cohn. Under the direction of Gabriel Sherman, the writer of “The Loudest Voice in the Room,” This is the story of mentorship, exploring the beginnings of an American legacy and revealing the impact of a culture outlined by success and failure.
In the film The Apprentice Sebastian Stan, who is known for his roles in Captain America and Pam & Tommy, steps into the shoes of a young Trump. Emmy-winning Jeremy Strong portrays Cohn, and Maria Bakalova takes on the role of Ivana, as the first wife of Donald. Set against the backdrop of the 1970s and 80s, the film explores Trump’s education in deal-making and manipulation under Cohn’s influence. During the McCarthy era and the AIDS crisis, Cohn played an important role. He was Trump’s lawyer in different legal battles and provided advice for Trump’s political ambitions.
