Hit Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is all set to hit the screen once again with his upcoming film Kabir Singh. He is playing the role of an alcoholic surgeon in the film. Recently, the makers of the film have released its teaser in which the actor is seen consuming a lot of liquor and drugs in it.
The film Kabir Singh is a remake of the Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, which released in 2017. The actor recently shared the experience of shooting for this film. He said that his role required him to smoke cigarettes and Beedis and snort cocaine for a major portion of the shoot. So to remove all that smell of smoking from himself, he had to take a long shower of 2 hours before returning to home.
He said, “I don’t endorse smoking at all. However, the role required it, as the protagonist uses it to channel his angst and rage. It wasn’t easy, and it came to a point where I smoked almost 20 cigarettes a day. It would take me close to two hours to shower and get rid of the smells before I could return home to my children.”
The plot of the film Kabir Singh revolves around a medical student who has major anger management issues and also becomes an alcoholic due to his failed relationship. The film is releasing on June 21, 2019.
