After Shekhar suman’s oral sex scene with Manisha Koirala Sonalshi’s character is another one that took viewers attention. Sonakshi Sinha is the heart of Heeramandi. She is portraying Fareedan who is the fierce antagonist. Her sole purpose in life is to destroy the killers of her mother Rehana. Now a scene is in question in which Sonakshi (Fareedan) is engaging in a foreplay with one of her maids. Which eventually implies a close sexual interaction between the duo.

During her latest conversation with News18. Sonakshi opened up how Fareedan’s past traumas have influenced her current character. She said “Initially, sir (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) had told me that Fareedan had a fluid nature. At that point in time, a lot of it did happen. And in a place like Heeramandi, people were very open about it. Even Ustadji is very openly a gay man. Sir wanted to explore it in different ways. What Fareedan has been through in her life also has impacted her in a way,”
she further said “ Fareedan the character that she played was sold off when she was a nine-year-old girl. Maybe that’s why she hates men. It could be that. They’ve left it very open. They didn’t explore it any further than that one scene where she meets Choudhary Saab (a nawab) and is with her maid. It’s just a very vast world and sir has tapped into different aspects of it in small ways.”
Sonakshi’s role in the series is garnering attention. She even got a chance to indulge in her fashion passion. When asked about her favourite outfit she said “My Tilasmi Baahein saree was my favourite outfit. I kept it. I told myself that I had to have it and I asked sir if I could keep it. The song turned out to be so special. That memory is so strong for me that I’ll remember the day of the song shoot for the rest of my life.”
The actress is feeling incredibly grateful for all the love and support she’s receiving for the series. This series also marked director Bhansali’s first venture into the world of online streaming. Amidst all the positive comments, there’s one that touched her heart, and it came from none other than veteran actor Rekha. Rekha’s words for the actors were unforgettable. Sinha said “It was magical. I saw a screening like that after years. That was one of the biggest premieres I’ve been to in my entire career. I met so many people that day. But Rekha ma’am went gaga over Heeramandi and was so supportive and encouraging,”
