Bollywood actor Sonu Sood talked about the unity in the film industry. And it seems as if he has taken an indirect dig at Kangana. Read to know what statement he made.
Actor Sonu Sood is among those Bollywood celebs who came forward to help many people at the time of the pandemic. He helped people to such an extent that many of them started putting him in place of God. He made an effort to reach out to those who were suffering from the pandemic. The actor was in the news for the numerous things he did for the people suffering during the lockdown. But now he made headlines about his statement that he made recently on the unity in the film industry. Without taking anyone’s name he said that some people speak against the industry. An industry that gives them so much. He even said that the chains that can bind us together are somewhere missing. And it clearly shows that he is indirectly pointing towards the Panga actress.
Sonu was also asked about the constant media trial that the film industry was going through to which Sood replied “Of course I was bothered, but what really upset me was seeing some of our own people speak against the industry. This is that industry for which he leaves our homes and families. It is an industry that fulfills dreams. And now, to see people point fingers at it, you can imagine how it must have affected us.”, “We all like to think we’re one big family, but the chains that can bind us are missing. People align themselves with others, no one reaches out to praise you or to offer advice. Everyone is constrained. They say they are a part of Bollywood, but they’ve created barriers around themselves.”
As we said that Sonu didn’t point out anyone’s name directly, but his statement shows that he is taking an indirect Jibe at Kangana Ranaut. As she was the one who earlier said that 99% of the industry has been exposed to drugs. After which many celebs showed their disappointment towards her. Those who took a direct jibe at her were Jaya Bachchan, Raveena Tandon, Hansal Mehta, and others. But either directly or indirectly Sonu Sood has also joined the list of celebs who showed their distress with Kangana’s statement.
Not many of you know that Kangana and Sonu were collaborating on the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. However, Sood walked out of the film eventually. And the reason for this is that the original director was removed from the project and Kangana took over. To this Ranaut mentioned in an interview that Sonu wasn’t comfortable being directed by a woman, therefore he quit.
