Korean Actor Oh Yeong Su who is known for his role as Player 001 in Squid Game has been booked under sexual misconduct however was released without any detention. The 78-year-old has been allegedly booked for touching a women inappropriately in mid-2017.
As a report in Variety stated that a complaint has been filed by the claimed victim in December 2021. the South Korean news outlet said that even though the case is terminated in April, it has been reopened after the victim’s request in April.
Variety quoted the words of actor to JTBC in the particular case, “I just held her hand to guide the way around the lake. I apologized because [the person] said she wouldn’t make a fuss about it but it doesn’t mean that I admit the charges.”
Oh Yeong Su is one the well-known actors in South Korea who have received much appreciation from the viewers for Netflix’s survival game show Squid Game. He also got featured in shows like Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter…and Spring, A Little Monk and Soul Guardians.
Squid Game launched in September 2021also features Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, Lee Byung Hun, Lee Ji Ha, Anupam Tripathi and others.
The show grabbed the coveted the Golden Globe Award in Best Supporting Actor category. The actor hade received an Emmy nomination.
