The Sky is Pink is the story of a family that never gives up. It is a true story of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary. She was born with an immune deficiency disorder. When Aisha was only 6 months old, she had to undergo a bone marrow transplant. Later as per the side effect of the bone marrow transplant, Aisha diagnosed with a serious illness called pulmonary fibrosis- a type of condition that causes hardening of the lungs.
The film will showcase the story of Aisha’s family and their struggles. Aisha will tell the love story of her parents spanning 25 years. The film is a true story which is unexpectedly humorous, warm and heart-wrenching all at once as the magic of life and beauty of death manifest.
The film stars Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraaf in the lead roles. The film will also mark Priyanka Chopra’s comeback after three years in Bollywood. She is also co-producing the film. The film is directed by Shonali Bose and co-produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ronnie Screwvala and Chopra under the banner of RSVP Movies, Roy Kapur Films and Purple Pebble Pictures.
The Sky is Pink is slated to release on October 11, 2019.
