The release of the debut trailer for ” Suicide Squad ” by James Gunn took place the other day, and fans have already begun to actively analyze it in search of all sorts of hints and clues – from potential deaths of characters to references to other parts of the DC universe.
We’ve already seen several characters that will appear in the film in 2016 Suicide Squad , and perhaps the main one is Harley Quinn, who also appeared in the film Birds of Prey . Of course, she is most associated with the Joker in DC comics, and even though the couple split off-screen in Birds of Prey , a shot from the new trailer reveals that her disdain for the Clown Prince of Crime remains.
When Harley interrogates The Thinker along with several other team members, she says the following:
We find out that you have set yourself ponte numbers on the wheelbarrow – you are a corpse.
While some may be confused by this phrase, one Twitter fan pointed out that this is a reference to the first part of Suicide Squad , associated with the license plate of the Joker’s car.
This is probably not the only reference to the Joker in James Gunn ‘s Suicide Squad , and we just have to wait for the movie to be convinced of this.
The release of the film is currently slated for August 5, 2021.
