The internet is buzzing with reports about Ali Sethi’s wedding to artist Salman Toor. Last year, the Pakistani artist who wrote the global song Pasoori married longtime friend Salman Toor in a secret wedding in New York City.
In a 2022 interview with The New Yorker, Salman Toor, famed for his creative work, freely described his personal struggle of coming to grips with his sexual identity.
Toor claimed a strong bond with Sethi in the same interview, saying, “I knew I had found the person I wanted to be with for good.”
So far, Sethi has been silent about his wedding or his relationship with Toor.
As word of their wedding spread, Sethi’s Twitter trend displayed a mix of joyous and unpleasant reactions. As a result of the alleged wedding, some sections of Pakistani social media flooded the site with homophobic remarks.
Others showed affection and support for Sethi and Toor. Others also shared Toor’s artwork while complimenting the supposed couple on their rumoured nuptials.
