    Chinese Army Released 10 Soldiers Including 4 Officers After Talks

    Recently, Chinese Army has released Ten Indian soldiers, including four officers from their custody following the violent clash of June 15 in which 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives in action. According to the NDTV, they all are back with the Indian side now. This all took place after three days of negotiations in the Galwan Valley, in the direction of Major General of the Army.

    At the time, the army is not commenting on the details of the release but stated that soldiers involved in the clash with the Chinese have now been accounted for. On Thursday, Army said, “It is clarified that there are no Indian troops missing in action.” Today, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian claimed it had not seized any Indian soldiers. He said it during a daily press briefing in response to questions, according to state-run CGTN.

    After the bloody clash, 76 Indian soldiers were treated in hospitals. According to the reports, they all are expected to return to duty within 15 days after treating their minor injuries.

    The Indian and Chinese side held Major General-level talks on Thursday for the third consecutive day, with the release of troops, as well as the restoration of normalcy in the surrounding areas of the Galwan Valley. In Nathu La after the 1967 conflict of the valley, this is the biggest confrontation between the soldiers of the two countries. At that time around 80 soldiers of India lost their lives while the number of dead from China was more than 300.
