According to the reports, TV actor, Shantanu Maheshwari will be one of the lead roles in the movie. Also, he will be named Afsan in the film. Actually, Sanjay Leela Bhansali was looking for a fresh face when he came across Maheshwari’s audition tape.
Shantanu Maheshwari is one of the well-known names in the TV industry. He made his debut in the show of V Channel. The name of that show was Dil Dosti and Dance on Channel V. Then he got another lead role in MTV’s show Girls On Top. He worked in many shows like Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, India’s Best Dramebaaz. His latest work is in ATL Balaji’s drama, Medically Yours and also participated in Nach Baliye with his girlfriend Nityaami Shirke.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is the story of a woman named Gangubai who was known as The Madam of Kamathipura. Gangubai was pushed into prostitution at an early age. She later became an extremely influential pimp with many violent gangsters as her clients. The release date of this movie is 11th September 2020.
