Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray delivered a speech on loudspeaker on Sunday. But now his open call to play Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeakers has stirred the social media.
A video has surfaced in which MNS workers played Hanuman Chalisa on a loudspeaker and that too outside mosques. This happened after Raj Thackeray Sunday speech on loudspeakers. As per the media reports the Chalisa was played outside mosques during the 5 am azaan. This has now created controversies among the people. Because his Sunday speech was especially on loudspeakers that creates disturbance. His main topic was against loudspeakers at mosques. He also gave an ultimatum that if he will hear any loudspeakers. He will ask his party to play Hanuman Chalisa. On the other hand on the occasion of Eid on 3rd May he also told his workers not to perform Maha aarti , and let Muslims celebrate their festival. As on 3rd it was also the time of Akshaya Tritiya.
On Monday he said “We don’t have to bring any obstacles to anyone’s festivities. The issue of loudspeakers is not a religious matter, but it’s a social issue. What we have to do about it will be decided in future. I will put forth my views about this through a tweet tomorrow. Only this much for now,” He also added that loudspeakers are being used under the name of religion, but the fact is that it disturbsthe students and elderly people. And it also creates the noise pollution. According to his words” The loudspeakers are unauthorized. In fact, many of the masjids too are unauthorized. How is it possible that the government has given authorized permissions to unauthorized Masjids to use loudspeakers? And if permissions are being granted, then Hindu temples also need to be given permission to play the loudspeakers.
However he did not kept his words and told the people to play Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeakers which became the topic of discussion. And Aurangabad Police on Tuesday filed a case against Thackeray.
