Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan spoke about what went behind the making of the dark character played by him in his latest film Freddy. He played a loner in the film which triggered his persona to the core. He mentioned that he has transformed from a chirpy to a quiet one.
In an interview with Etimes, Kartik averred that he paid focus on the minute of the details of the character and he also visited a dentist to learn the patterns. “When you start behaving like a character, things do happen to you in a similar way then,” he said.
Aligning his trance into a dark space with other actors go through the same while pursuing challenging shoots, the actor said, “I did go through it. I won’t lie about it.” He revealed that how he actually became a loner for a while. “Suddenly I started thinking like that. I had started to get weird thoughts in my mind and there were also sleepless nights,” he said.
Kartik further added that from being a peppy and chirpy character he changed into a loner. He recalls how Rohit Dhawan, the director of Shehzada, told him that his body language has driven through a change due to which later on Shehzada’s schedule was also changed.
Freddy, co-starring Alaya F, is slated to stream on December 2 on Disney Plus Hotstar.
