The Black Panther superhero should have been playable in “Marvel’s Avengers” a long time ago. Following the tragic death of film actor Chadwick Boseman last year, Crystal Dynamics has postponed the release of the accompanying DLC. Next summer, the time is right – and new content for the game has also been announced on a roadmap for 2021.
Publisher Square Enix announced news on a number of games in a video feed. Of course, “Marvel’s Avengers” could not be missing. Along with a trailer for the launch of the next-gen multiplayer action game, there was finally some news on additional content. “Black Panther: War for Wakanda” brings another world in the style of the superhero’s African homeland, a new opposing faction and of course the playable Black Panther itself. The DLC is believed to increase the power level in the game and is described as the biggest content update since its release.
Marvel’s Avengers’: 2021 roadmap shows more content planned
Crystal Dynamics has also released a preliminary roadmap for the current year. The roadmap shows what content can be expected for the Marvel game in 2021. Among them is a mode that allows players to start with the same hero. So far, for example, it has not been possible to play a group of four Iron Mans. The developers have announced a new super villain and a patrol mode that allows you to explore biomes without a mission.

According to Crystal Dynamics, the roadmap for 2021 can change dramatically.
“Hawkeye – Future Imperfect” is now playable
The second operation of the game called “Hawkeye – Future Imperfect”, which revolves around the archery superhero, is now playable in “Marvel’s Avengers”. As a villain, he faces off against Maestro, an alternate version of the Hulk, blessed with the strength and intelligence of Bruce Banner. The update also brings technical improvements for PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, such as higher resolution and faster load times.
Since its release in August 2020, public interest in “Marvel’s Avengers” has quickly waned, which was in part due to the manageable endgame content. The developers initially focused on fixing bugs in the game and postponing planned expansions.
