Mr and Mrs Khiladi, 1997 turns 25 today. The film was directed by debutant David Dhawan featuring Akshay Kumar and Juhi Chawla in the pivotal roles. Juhi Chawla recounting the old times shared a heartwarming anecdote where Akshay was a saved her from injuring her already wounded leg.
She took to her Twitter account to state that how she accidentally tore her ligament and has to shoot with braces. Interestingly, since the director too had bone related issues, both of them used to visit the physiotherapist after shoot. She mentioned an instance when Akshay saved her from slipping, “And in a flash, and I mean in a flash ..! Akshay was down beside me and saved me from twisting my leg again !!”.
The actress also reminisces old days when Kader Khan would use to entertain the audience and bright up the ambience. She is grateful and humbled for those memories. The 1997 film has been etched in the hearts of the audience as one the classic comedy films featuring Akshay, with perfect pitching done by Kader Khan, Satish Kaushik and Paresh Rawal.
