Prime Minister Narendra Modi came up with some interesting projects for the overall development of Assam. The project is estimated over 11000 crores.

In a significant move for Assam’s development. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated some projects worth Rs 11,600 crore at the Veterinary College Playground in Guwahati. The event witnessed the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. And a roadshow that was held in the state capital as part of the momentous occasion.

The key projects that received the green light laying of foundation stones were. The Kamakhya temple corridor (Rs 498 crore), and the construction of a new sports complex in Chandrapur (Rs 300 crore). A six-lane road connecting the new airport terminal in Guwahati (Rs 358 crore). And the upgrade of Nehru Stadium to FIFA standards (Rs 831 crore). Emphasizing the cultural and historical significance of these projects Prime Minister Modi stated. “Our pilgrimages, our temples, our places of faith, these are not just places to visit. These are indelible signs of our civilization’s journey of thousands of years,” during the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Kamakhya temple corridor.
Additionally, he also announced the launch of the second edition of the ‘Asom Mala’ project. Which is a pivotal step in the enhancement and construction of 43 new roads along with 38 concrete bridges. With an initiative to improve connectivity and infrastructure in the region. Addressing healthcare development, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the integrated new building of the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, set to be constructed for Rs 3,250 crore. Furthermore, he announced the Karimganj Medical College and Hospital, with an estimated cost of Rs 578 crore, and the Rs 297-crore Unity Mall in Guwahati.
Modi’s visit to Assam commenced on Saturday evening. Where he stayed overnight at the Koinadhara State Guest House in the city. His initiatives are poised to transform Assam’s landscape, towards economic development, improving healthcare facilities, and enhancing overall connectivity for the people of the state. These projects will help for a more prosperous and well-connected Assam. These projects not only signify an essential investment in Assam’s infrastructure. But also shows the government’s commitment to initiate growth and progress in the region.
