In the second session of the first quarter-final Ranji game between Bengal and Jharkhand, the top order of the Bengal team has continued to dominate their gameplay in Bengaluru as Jharkhand has been able to take only 2 wickets in 6 sessions of play.

Abhishek Raman started well with skipper Abhimanyu but eventually had to leave the ground after he was declared retired hurt. Skipper Abhimanyu scored 65 runs before he gave away his wicket. Sudip Gharami is still battling the Bengaluru pitch with his tremendous score of 157* runs. Partnering with Sudip, Abhishek Raman has padded up again to bat on Day 2 and is currently batting at 61* runs.

Anustup Majumdar’s terrific knock of 117 runs has boosted the Bengal’s score as well as their confidence to win this knockout game.

Keeper Abhishek Porel, Manoj Tiwary, Shahbaz Ahmed and tail-enders – Ishan Porel, Akash Deep and Writtick Chatterjee are yet to bat.
