Salman Ali Becomes Indian Idol 10 Winner

Indian Idol is one of the biggest TV reality shows in India. This year show’s 10th season came on-air on the Sony Entertainment Television. The show was judged by Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and Anu Malik. Post the MeToo allegations against Anu Malik, the music maestro stepped down as the judge. While various musicians appeared on the show as a guest judge, Javed Ali stuck to the series in the later stage of the season.

Now, the show has ended and it has its winner now. On Sunday night
Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma came on the show to promote their film Zero. These stars got the honour to be the part of grand finale. And the winner is none another than Salman Ali. He was competing with Vibhor Parashar, Nitin Kumar, Ankush Bharadwaj and Neelanjana Ray. Ankush became the first runner-up. On his win, the aspiring singer and winner said that,

“I am overwhelmed and speechless right now. The feeling of winning the 10th season of Indian Idol is yet to sink in. Indian Idol and Sony Entertainment Television have given me a platform to realize my dreams and I will always be thankful. I haven’t just learned a lot but I have had the opportunity to perform with and in front of legends from this industry. And more than anything else, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude towards the audience who voted for all of us wholeheartedly.’

Apart from the trophy, Salman won Rs 25 lakh from Sony Entertainment Television and a Datsun car. Whereas the first runner-up Ankush Bhardwaj was given a cheque of Rs 5 lakh. The second runner-up Neelanjana Ray also took home a cheque of Rs 5 lakh. The other finalists Nitin Kumar and Vibhor Parashar were handed over a cheque of Rs 3 lakh each.
