In a latest #AskSRK on Twitter, actor Shah Rukh Khan disclosed that he attempted to lip sync some lines in Tamil for the movie Jawan, which will be released on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
A fan asked Shah Rukh on Twitter, “@iamsrk Sir did Atlee made you learn Tamil #Jawan #AskSRK”. To this Shah Rukh replied, “Atlee and Anirudh made me do a few song lines (lip synch) in Tamil….hope I got them right.”
Anirudh Ravichander wrote the score for Jawan. In the conversation, SRK also disclosed that Arijit Singh, who just sang the song “Jhoome Jo Pathaan” for Pathaan, will also be featured in the movie.
Many questions from his admirers were addressed by Shah Rukh. One of the admirers inquired about Shah Rukh’s first-time experience working with Tamil diva Nayanthara. In response, the actor said, “She is lovely….too sweet and awesome to work with. A pleasure.”
Vijay Sethupathi, who plays the movie’s antagonist, will also be a Tamil star in Jawan. Shah Rukh Khan discussed his time spent working with Vijay, “He is such a humble person and a brilliant actor. Learnt a lot from Vijay. #Jawan”
Throughout the session, Shah Rukh was inundated with more of these inquiries. The actor tweeted in response to a question from a fan about why he wasn’t on the Jawan poster. “The producer didn’t allow me!! Said just your name is enough!! Ha ha #Jawan”
Another fan questioned Shah Rukh about why he used his own funds for a “VFX heavy project” like Jawan, and the actor responded with a wise response. “You should put your money where your mouth is…one has to believe that Dream merchants should create cinema that feels like an event worth the audience’s time and money! #Jawan” he wrote.
On Saturday, a new release date for Jawan was disclosed. Originally scheduled for June release, the movie has now been moved to September 7.
