Hwang Dong-hyuk, creator and director of Squid Game, expects a third season of the popular Netflix series after a second.
“I am in talks with Netflix about season two and also season three. We will come to a conclusion soon,” the director told The Korea Times .
Hwang previously confirmed that he is working on a second series. “The season is in my head now, I’m working on it. But it’s too early to say when and how it will happen.” He also said that lead actor Lee Jung-jae (Gi-Hun) will return in the second series.
In Squid Game , poor slobs have to play to the death children’s games. The winner will receive a large amount of money. The series turned out to be a huge hit and was watched by more than 100 million people worldwide, according to Netflix.
