England vs NZ: Devon Conway tests positive for COVID 19; series likely to get postponed

The England vs New Zealand series is likely to get postponed after the second player in the New Zealand squad gets positive for COVID-19.

Devon Conway has tested positive for COVID-19 after New Zealand were kept isolated after Michael Bracewell turned up to be the first player getting affected by the virus.

New Zealand’s two prime players have been tested positive and despite having a healthy squad to compete in the next game, the board members might suggest postponing the ongoing series for the benefit of the management and players involved.

Bracewell was tested positive soon after England started celebrating their Trent Bridge clash and the conclusion ended in an unfortunate way as the Kiwi players were an important part of the playing XI which puts every player alarmed after he gets tested for the COVID-19.

India’s arrival in England has already been initiated and if the cases of COVID-19 increase, it can surely jeopardise the upcoming tours and home games for team England as well as for the Kiwis.

After four Tests, India is up 2-1 against England. The last match of the series will be held in Edgbaston, Birmingham. During the tour, the Rohit-led team will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20Is
