Parineeti Chopra has been a fixture in the Indian film industry for over a decade, known for her versatility in portraying diverse characters on the silver screen. Her journey in Bollywood has been marked by an ability to defy conventions. However, she has been unlucky with hits. Box-office success has mostly evaded her career inspite of critical acclaim.
Chopra made her acting debut in 2011 with the film Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, where she played the role of a con artist. This unconventional choice set the tone for her career, as she consistently took on challenging roles that allowed her to showcase her range as an actress. Some of her notable films include Ishaqzaade, Shuddh Desi Romance, Hasee Toh Phasee, Golmaal Again and the recent Amar Singh Chamkila.

In an interview, Chopra acknowledged the challenges she has faced but remained undeterred. She stated that she has encountered many obstacles in her career, but have never let them stop her. Inspite of the odds and flops, she still believes that with passion and perseverance, anything is possible.
Her more recent film, Uunchai, exemplifies her ability to take on diverse roles. In the family drama, Chopra played the part of a tourist guide, sharing the screen with veteran actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani. Her performance was well-received, with the director, Sooraj Barjatya, praising her energy and chemistry with her co-stars.
We asked Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar about Parineeti. He says, “Lets look at the positive side. Parineeti Chopra’s journey in the industry has been marked by resilience and a willingness to take risks.” He adds, “Despite facing numerous obstacles, she has consistently risen above them, carving her own unique path in Bollywood.”
Dale further states, “Parineeti’s ability to defy conventions and embrace unconventional roles sets her apart. She is an inspiration to aspiring actors who seek to challenge the status quo.”
True! Parineeti’s perseverance in the face of all odds even reminds us of the popular English poem ‘Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night’ by Dylan Thomas. The poem seems to capture the essence of Chopra’s approach to her career. It urges readers to resist fading away and instead rage against the dying light, a sentiment that resonates with Chopra’s determination to forge her own path in the industry ignoring the multiple flops that have come her way.
