New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Animation working on the film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. The animation film was announced some time ago, but now there are suddenly a few concrete developments.
For example, it was revealed earlier this week who would provide the votes. Today there is new concept art from The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.

It’s been quite a while since we got an announcement about the movie The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, but now all of a sudden there’s a lot of news.
Set two hundred years before JRR Tolkien’s classic trilogy, the animated film follows the mighty king of Rohan, Helm Hammerhand. He defends the fortress later known as Helm’s Deep from a relentless attack.
A synopsis has of course been released alongside the concept art below.
A sudden attack by Wulf, a shrewd and ruthless Dunlending lord seeking revenge for his father’s death, forces Helm and his people to make a daring final attempt at survival in the ancient Fort Hornburg, a mighty fortress that will later become known as Helm’s Deep. Hera, Helm’s daughter, finds herself in an increasingly desperate situation and must summon the will to lead a resistance against this deadly enemy bent on their utter destruction.
