The case in the upcoming Netflix movie Kathal involves missing jackfruits rather than missing people. Sanya Malhotra plays Mahima Basor, a young police officer tasked with finding a pair of jackfruits that were taken from an MLA’s residence, in the offbeat parody. Produced by Sikhya Entertainment and Balaji Telefilms, Kathal is directed by first-time director Yashowardhan Mishra. On May 19, the comedy will have its Netflix debut.
